With a team of over one hundred professionals, Vision Survey delivers a wide range of services to the UK construction industry, including **engineering and land surveying, underground mapping, and project risk management**. The CEO’s *eureka moment* came after growing frustrated with organisations’ traditional, paper-based *permit to dig* procedures — processes that were cumbersome, confusing, and inefficient. These outdated methods often led to costly errors and an increased risk of utility strikes. There had to be a better way to standardise and modernise the approach. Drawing on more than **25 years of experience**, the CEO and the Vision Survey team developed **Vislock** — the only **fully paperless platform** designed to speed up, streamline, and de-risk construction projects. After 25 years within the permit to dig industry, John realised the need for a digital paperless system.
